Welcome to North Queensland Women’s Legal Service

NQWLS is a community legal centre based in Townsville and Cairns, North Queensland. We are a free legal service for women by women. We can help in all areas of law by way of providing information and referrals. Legal advice is available in the areas of family law, defacto matters, family/domestic violence, discrimination, sexual assault, child protection; and Victims Assist. We provide services to women from Sarina in the south, to the Torres Strait in the north and west out to the Northern Territory border.
